I changed out the hood hinges on a customers cuda yesterday and noticed the springs were different diameters. The originals were 1.75" and the oe replacemnets, that are a 70 hinge too, are 2.0" OD. How many different springs were there? I thought 2. One steel hood and the fiberglass light tension ones. I guess it does not matter but just curious.

Smaller dia.- 70-74 Cuda w/o shaker.
Larger dia.- 70-74 Challenger all & 70-74 Cuda w/shaker.

They're easy to swap.. with the hinge on the car, support the hood, then hook the spring with a fan belt to pull and release it from the front.
