i just bout a new rev patt shifter.i have to pull the lever to downshift from 3rd to 2nd but there is no stop to keep it from going into 1st,is that correct or is somthing wrong?

you should pull it from 1st to 2nd,and the pull release lever,and handle to get 3rd if it rev pattern.

im talkin about down shifting,by lever i mean the realease lever.

Thats correct.

If you want to quickly go from 3rd to first, just push the shifter forward.

If you want to go quickly to neutral pull the trigger and throw it forward.

to go from third to second there is no stop. it is functioning as intended.
