Well its time for opinions guys(please) my mind is going nuts over which way to go,should i build it for spray or go max effort 15.1 type deal?..my motor is plenty stout over 700hp 620lb tq mid 9's,it's only got 11.4 comp,a cam thats 700 lift w 1.65 rockers and a 950 carb..i was thinkin going w lots a compression, bigger cam and a dominator. Now on the other hand i can put 3500stall nos conv in it,some 3.55 gears and a 500hp fogger from induction sollutions in it of course pistons, rods, cam etc to handle it! help me out here guys . THANKYOU AndyB

it al depends on a couple of things. do you have the heads needed for a true max effort n/a combo?
if not are you willing to step up? (edelbrock and indy don't fall into this catagory)
if not, the No2 will make up the difference. i won't bother with all of the extra costs and issues of either, your probably already aware of them.

It seems to me your pushing the upper limits on 59* stuff.... I am sure you could find some more power but... for the bux spent wouldn't 48* make more for all out power... the Nos stepping up from a lower level shot to find a good Hp compromise on what you all ready have built may work for a wile

answer for both,i do have indy's 245 should be awesome for nos 18deg..that's the other thing with 59* how much more is that head gonna take me? the 48* is for the next build for sure, but being i have a perfectly good siamese block and killer stuff in it.if it sold i was gonna go w9,but im not gonna waste this motor..with nos i have bud's that will help give me some tune's 8.50's would be easy w spray and the progressive we'd put in it..would 9 000000000000s be possible with indy headed 59* 904 trans at 2900+lbs 28x10.5 i know dustermel's is and he's probably 40 more hp and 100lbs lighter

a real mean N/A deal is much cooler in my humble opinion and a motor on spray can eat time and funds pretty quick and be frustrating to say the least, im not saying dont spray it but going fast on nitrous isnt as easy as it may seem

a real mean N/A motor isnt that easy either as you probably already have noticed but atleast its less components to work with.

funny this post came up i have been thinking of something similar for a few days

o i agree, and would have 2nd thoughts about nitrous,,i do have alot of bud's who use it all day and night and have success without burning up pistons and so on,i wouldn't have to pay a tuner for help w nos.

Heres my 2 cents

Bracketracing no n2o

Chasing et's and headsup racing n2o

N2O is not that bad once you get the hang of the tuning aspect. If you go N2O by good pistons such as the diamonds with the top coated for N2O they said it is a little more forgiving on the tune-up just in case.

it would cost a gazillion dollars to max effort the 59 degree for maybe 100hp

or $500 for a cheater plate kit and it would still be streetable and run on pump gas

There's no glory in doing things the hard way. People like to see fast cars.

Rarely, does anybody give a rats ass how you do it.

Just wait on the 48º stuff and do it all at once.

I'll second that! The money would be better spent on your new engine

He better hope it has 18 head bolts and not ten.Plus good luck with that valve geometry with alot of spring pressure.

block and heads are 18 bolt, pac springs i have have,do have enough pressure, my motor built to be able to be street driven 500 miles a yr+track time, and they would last a few seasons,,only have to rev mine 6800rpm for 729hp,that wont change with nos cause of the 3500 stall and 3.55 gears.well maybe a little more reving lol
