Thinking about resetting the cam in my 440 to get the cranking compression up. right now it's 135#.I felt that was a bit low. It has iron stage 4 heads that have un modified chambers with TRW 2295 pistons with stock crank and rods. the cam is a 528 mopar solid with the lash set at .020 in and ex.I think theres more power to be had in this combo. also im running a six pac that has acelorator pumps on all carbs. best et so far is 12.41 @106 Mph. Any thoughts?

Do you know where the cam is installed at now as far as the intake lobe centers and the lobe seperation angle of the cam? If not on either figure that out first and post the results before you touch it BTW, what style, A, B, E or C body and year is the motor in? It matters as far as what else may be needed

Do you know the CR. 135 is too low. Advancing the cam may help a very small amount, but it won't solve your problem. My guess is that the CR is way low.

True, psi is too low to be fixed by advancing the cam. Needs more static CR, smaller cam (or at least earlier IVC).

Opening the intake lash to spec. should increase cranking pressure.
