Truth right there.

I've got a buddy with a little Honda generator that he has had for over 25 years. He changes oil in it about every 5 years or so. It's still one of the quietest generators I've ever heard.

Temperature has little effect on synthetics. 10/30 will be just fine.

And just for the record, I am about 2000 miles south of the igloo line.

Trying the Honda to a Gen Tran transfer switch and to see if I can get a little more time on a tank of gas using synthetic oil?

GJ .... IF you want a QUIET ONE .. it is about the only choice to make. I would like to see a Coleman that quiet. I have one of those Colemans hanging off the back of my truck and truck-camper combo. It sounds like a JACK HAMMER. I looked at a Honda later ... the salesman started it up and put it on his desk ...and we talked at normal volumn ...IMPRESSIVE.

And to that guy from Sears ... 2000 miles? .... I would sooner like 3500 miles ....in sw FL

Yeah, yeah, I know. I just find it amusing that so many people are pro Made In The USA for all their car stuff but they will happily buy a Honda generator or even a Mexican made Fender guitar.

I own a Mexican made Fender so flame me if you have to.
