in finding the best length use a crayon marker or white painted line the length of the tube. after a few passes you will see where the line gets discolored. At that point is the correct length

This is what Ed from Headers by Ed told me many years ago and has been my guideline ever since.

What are you saying and why?

Those look like really long collectors, IMO.

It was kinda a Joke, they are 4 inch 19.5 inchs long merge with 2 1/8 primary in. Mr. P helped me with header design and I would have never thought they needed to be that long, but that what the program said. The headers will be 2 step 2 inch 19.6 inchs long to 2 1/8 19.6 inchs long. It will make about a 60 inch long header should pull the gasses well.

So I cant wait till I get this thing done. By keyboard racing it should run 6.30's on im sure it motor and 5.80's on gas. I hope it does, but I sure it will be slower. Like these headers I am just trying to match everything perfectly. Thats the reason for the massive custom headers.

That collector should be just fine like that.

I was surprised at the total overall primary tube length (19+19=38"). But I like the 2-step diameters you are going to use.
