I've had a local restoration shop and an "experienced Mopar enthusiast" tell me that chances are better than not, that if I try to remove my chrome drip rail molding, I will damage it.

There's 2 small dents in it above the 1/4 window where it looks like someone pry'd against it to break in.

Searching I saw a YouTube video where a guy uses a "church key" to unclip it. Looked like it was easy as pie

..or is this something I should leave for Rocket Restorations to do when I take it down there?

Thanks

they are not that hard to get off undamaged as
long as you do not force them and you use some patience.
i use a couple of paint sticks and move around the looser areas first and work my way toward the areas that are tight
eventually the molding will loosen up
and you will be able to slide it off the channel.
alot of times its dirt and debris that holds them up
and can make them stubborn to come off.
just do not force them, they will pop off with a little
playing around.
