Cubic inches X 7.5 minimum car weight. How big is the engine? Heads have to have factory part numbers on them, but Titanium valves, welding, etc allowed. Trans is most likely a ProFlite. That car has to be at a big disadvantage weight wise and with aerodynamics. I can't believe they are near the minimum weight and I think Scott Gove went a 7.95 in A modified last year at the Dutch with an Avenger. Much more aerodynamic. But big props for building a cool car! I'm not a big late model guy, even if its got an advantage. The other problem is you won't race a whole bunch in that air. Looks good, but expect to slow a tenth or two in normal division 1 race conditions. Maple Grove is usually 2400 to 2600' DA. And I met Red at the Mopar Action race. He is buddies with my crew chief who races with a SS/AM car nationally also. Hell of a nice guy and found a simple problem on one of my carbs in a few minutes of just "looking" at them. I didn't know he worked for Shaifroff and there was too much going on at that race to really talk at length with him. Very sharp Guy. Nice runs for a new car for sure! Come on Al, wheres the pictures with the hood off?

Let me guess.. 400+ inch, CFE 10* w8, sheetmetal intake, dual dominators, about 970 hp or so, pro flite trans, A1 converter and a 9" rear, around 2800 pound and up depending on engine size I wish my car would be that fast

As previous posted red did not build the engine....but he is allowed to check the tire pressure..... clarke would be the last name of the man who built the engine....anytime u see this car at the track ,talk to the owner he a nice guy and a personal friend of mine.yes it is a bucky paint job !!!!!
I went there but I didnt see the owner I wanted to compliment him on the car.. The paint was UNREAL.... The car was a work of art.... And once I saw the car run that did it for me it had to of been the baddest car there...

Did ya get to see these guys make a pass??
Great pic. That friendly grudge/match race between Clinton and I was an awesome race. I think it was the first time both of us went over 161 mph. Good thing Clinton took it easy on me.
