Anyone tried one of these the fella on ebay is selling? I sent an email about a ready to ship date and he advised me to pre-pay and it would be shipped in 8 weeks. So I guess they're just being kinda made to order? It looks great but I'm a little nervous about forking over $600 plus and crossing my fingers. Thanks!

you can always have a original am radio converted to am/fm and save $$$ and keep the stock appearing look.

When we do the conversion, you get the exact same board that the new
repros are using . 45 watts per channel x 4 channels=180 watts ,
and have aux jacks .
Only drawback is you will still retain the original AM dialface ,
but you will save a couple hundred bucks if that is a concern.

Greg your work is really beautiful, and it was really my plan all along to have an original AM converted. $200 is still $200, especially in this economy. The repo caught my eye because of the OE looking dual dial, and if Mike Ross or Tony's Parts were selling it I might not be so skeptical. Wonder if an AM dial could be silk screened or overlaid like they do our gauges? Another question, how do you switch the conversion from AM to FM? Thanks for the reply and advice!

The radio will be in FM mode everytime you turn it on. To switch from FM to AM, you simply turn the radio off and back on real quick. To go back to FM, just turn it off , and back on.
