How do the rear most tail pipe hangars on a 67 b-body with a hemi attach to the frame?? I see a square and round hole in that vicinity in the frame but don`t have the hangers yet. Just ordered a complete system from Accurate Exhaust and Im trying to make sure I am ready when it arrives. these round holes are not threaded nor do they have a nut attached on the top side.

thanks.

Usually the square or rectangular hole is for a locating tab, with the round hole being for the fastener. Pretty sure the fastener would be 5/16-18 thread, likely self-tapping if there's no nut welded inside the rail, but if you see what looks like a square plate behind/inside of that hole, that's for a self-tapping bolt.
I have a pair of tailpipe hangers for a'67 GTX; don't know if they're the same for Hemis & 440s.

Beautiful car!!. What do you mean by J bolts?? Are you talking about the kind that slide over the hole and have a threaded attachment like what you see on fenders and body parts??

Maybe someone can pOst a detail from the service manual? If the attaching nut is not welded on the inside if the side of the frame it may be on the bottom if the frame. I don'thave a67 but my tip hanger hooks into the hole in the side of the frame and the bolt screws into a threaded insert in the bottom if the frame. It will be pretty obvious when you get your parts

Here is a picture of the 66-67 (148,149) B body tailpipe hangers installed. Muffler hangers are different and are located at the rear of the mufflers and bolted to the floor pan brackets. Here is the link that shows the diagram and location http://www.accurateltd.com/Hanger-B-body-Main-Support-Double-Loop-Design-D-737_p_127.html
