No offense, but I'd take all those published weights with a grain of salt. The only accurate way to tell would be to weigh two empty shells or two IDENTICALLY equipped cars....both with the same amount of gas, oil and windshield washer fluid!   Dave

Funny the GTX owners were not into racing you either just like the Charger owners......maybe they were too conservative or something.....you know the bowl of goldfish on the front seat excuse Every road runner or super bee owner along with every Chevelle owner would light them up in a heart beat if they had the chance or thought they could coax you into it What provoked a race; two of anything and one of them being a road runner or super bee

None taken... you are absolutely correct!  I think Chrysler realized that too because of their wording "approximate" and "estimated" in the books. I just thought it might be useful to the poster for comparison purposes. I imagine that a/c, power windows, cruise etc would add on several hundred pounds to a base car. The a/c compressor can feel like 500 lbs when bent over the car trying to remove it.
