My build is coming to an end, now getting to the little parts. Like what size pulley on the blower! Have some questions on the supercharger. This is going in a 1998 Regular Cab Dakota Sport. Not going to see the track that much, just want something to have fun with on the streets.

I'm going to run a Novi 2000. I read the safe limit on these is 55000 RPM. I currently have a 7.25" crank pulley and a 3.25" pulley on the Novi.

So, 7.25"/3.25" = 2.23077
2.23077 x 3.54 = 7.89692
55000/7.89692 = 6965 RPM

This is going to be a street truck, I'm not going to spin it past 6000 RPM. I want this thing to last! So the way the Paxton is set up now, I can spin the engine all the way to 6965 RPM before over spinning the blower.

I was thinking a smaller pulley on the blower. Reason being, Paxton no longer makes a kit for the Dakota anymore. I read that there was a 8" crank pulley but mine came with the smaller crank pulley. I know a smaller pulley on the blower, the worse the belt slip will be, but I think a custom crank pulley would be $$$.

I'm going to get a Richard Racing pulley, once I know what size I need.

2.9" Pulley = 6215 RPM
2.85" Pulley = 6108 RPM
2.8" Pulley = 6000 RPM

I plan on setting the rev limiter at 6000 RPM and shift in the high 5000 RPM range. I'll try to pick a cam that accommodates this. Any suggestions for cams? I know, I know. I'm going to call cam companies and tell them my setup, but some of you might have real world experience with a similar setup. This is EFI, by the way.

So would I want to max out the blower where the rev limiter is to be on the safe side? Or is over spinning the blower not that bad? Again, I want the engine and the blower to last. I was thinking about the 2.8" pulley would be perfect, but what do you guys think?

Run down on the engine/transmission/rear.

360 Magnum block bored .030 over
Forged Eagle 3.58"
Forged Eagle I-beams 6.123"
Forged Probe SRS Pistons -14.5 cc
Total Seal Conventional Classic Steel Top piston rings - CS3690-35
ARP bolts
Felpro 1008 head gaskets
2.02 R/T heads 60.6 cc - no flow numbers yet, Kammers flow bench in Dayton is down at the moment.
Comp 1.6 roller rockers
Cam - only thing I haven't ordered, will do after I get flow numbers.
M1 2bbl
Spin-tech long tubes, 1 3/4" primaries and 3" collector.
F&B 52mm throttle body (Might be small, but I can change that after I get it running.)
Paxton Novi 2000
Compression ratio of the engine is 9.525:1

Viper T-56
Superior clutch

4.56 gears
Detroit true-trac

Shooting for 450-500 RWHP and 450-500 RWTQ, and very streetable. If the numbers go north of that, I wouldn't mind either, ha.

Pulley size will depend upon how much boost you actually want or have fuel for. Maxing out the blower's shaft speed will max out boost production, but will everything else handle it?

What method will you use for additional fuel to keep up with boost?

In tank Walbro 255 lph pump. Plus bigger injectors obviously.

If that doesn't support enough fuel, then I'l try a denso in tank 380 lph pump.

I won't order injectors until I decide if I'm going with MS or SCT. Both would be tuned on the dyno. Probably going to be 60# injectors, but I'll wait and see if I need high Z or low Z.

OK. The next deciding factor will be fuel quality.

I forgot to add, I have a snow performance meth kit for it too.
