Looking into getting a set of H/s rockers " 1.6" ratio and heard that they may not fit under a stock steel valve cover? Anyone know the facts on this? Thanks

On mine, I had to bevel the corners of the hold-downs at both ends, and ball-peen some clearance at the oil baffles. That's with the 1.6 HS setup on Eddy heads. Wasn't a big deal, but I about had a heart attack first time I heard the racket.

you can get some clay from a craft store and chech by cycling thru the lift.i did not have a problem with the taller covers[1973 up i think]

Most often they fit, there does seem to be some slight differences in some stock valve covers...as mentioned, sometimes its just the corners and or baffles. I can take care of you on Harlands, drop me a PM or email if you wish....

I wanted stock looking covers as I wanted the Max Wedge look so I used these which I think are old Eddy valve covers. They were chrome but scratched which I did not care as I was painting them orange anyway. They look a bit taller then stock but look close to stock to me. I use Hughes 1.6 roller tip rockers with .630 lift on my 63's eng and they work fine. Ron
