I'm wondering about h.p. difference between Solid Roller & a Flat Tap. Same specs on both. All Roller valvetrain being used. I'm just interested if you took your motor and set it up on a dyno, and just swapped out cams, how much peak H.P. diff. there is.

it depends on the size of the cam and the size of the engine as well as how well the rest of the build matches up.
the roller will always make more power and be more responsive.

If both cams have the best lobe designs the roller lobes will make more power and raise the peak HP and torque RPM up by several hundred. How much actual gain Maybe twenty, maybe more

I knew the roller would make more power, I didn't know that it would change the peak #s by that much. I just figured if all the cam specs were the same, peak #s wouldn't have changed. That helps, thanks
