All fine and good but there's only so many places you can take it from the front.
I am thinking of putting lexan in the back and maybe a lightweight battery and glass trunk lid.

Just saying, consider the cost and effort. Building horsepower might be the better option.

And it's easier on the drivetrain.
This is a mod i'm looking to do, so i'll give it a bump.

I use the factory glass as a template. Buy a 4'x8' sheet and cut them out with a saber saw. Install just like the factory windows. You can make the rear side windows and fix them in position. Get rid of the regulators, more weight.

Lighter is better. like you said a tenth for every 100 lbs at that HP level.
and besides HP cost more money.

Just offering a suggestion, do what you want.
I reinstalled the glass on my Cuda because the lexan install job was bad and it was scratched. Didn't lose any et.

If I'm not mistaken, there are some pretty good cuves in that rear glass. That will be really tough to duplicate with lexan. Anything thicker than 1/8" likely won't take the bend cold and if you heat it enough to shape it will develop air bubbles in it and look like hell. 1/8" is probably too thin and will blow out.

I've bent 1/4" with no issues what so ever... if you
get air bubbles you are heating it WAY TO FAST... I
have watched the guys in the plastic shop at work
heat 4'X 8' sheets up to 1/2" and turned out perfect

I have it in my 68, all but vent windows and front window. It used to be lexan front, but got scratched up. 1/8 inch is easy to work with.

I see you've used the original rubber, did you heat it to make it fit.
Ted
I reckon my car is around 3000# + my 175.

Only the front glass has a rubber gasket. The rest of the lexan was trimed to fit the channel the sealed in . The chrome is screwed down. This is a tube chassis car. Weighs a little over 2600 with me in it. Or I should say it was weighed with a 185 lb driver at gateway track 2 yrs ago and it was 2625. I'm 50 lbs heavier
