looking to get a new aluminum radiator. i have just a stock radiator in it now, with a clutch fan.. looking to go all electric water pump and fan. thinking a motor on the stock water pump and then and electric puller syle fan with a shroud. its going in a 67 barracuda, 360, car runs mid 11's. what is everybody running for cooling. would like to just have a bolt in deal, no fab work. pics would help too. thanks

I just bought one of these myself and waiting for it to arrive. Rad, shroud and fans included with the price is a tranny cooler.

i use a Cheapo Chinese 2 row alloy rad that i made my own shroud & mounted a Cheapo Chinese curved blade fan to. it works well & cools the motor down quickly between rounds. if i were using it for the street i might have to upsize as the big block can gain on it at times.

I have a Jegs radiator I made to direct fit a 68 Dart and it drops right in my 67 Barracuda I am working on.

All rubber mounts and isnt hard to do.

If you want I will take some pictures of it tomorrow night when I get home from the Maple grove 10K footbrake race.

Summit does offer direct replacements but for a couple
of mounts the price goes UP
Also the Summit brand is made by Northern Radiator
which is American made

I just bought a Champion 3 core for my Charger.... didn't have a rad and the one I bought is probably cheaper than any 26" stocker price...

I have one of the Summit Radiators in the Satellite. Fits like a glove, and keeps up with the 452 on the street just fine. Had my buddy fab me up a custom shroud. Looks pretty good, and works great.

Yep. They are nice and the price is right. I got mine for like 200 bucks. I am using one made for a late corvette in my dakota, and I read in I think car craft that there is a 2 speed fan from a taurus that works perfectly for it with a 100 amp alternator. I am going to give it a try with that fan.

I have no plan messing with an electric pump on the street.

Sorry it took me so long. Here are the pictures of the way I do a aluminum rad in an a body.

I use 90s dodge dakota lower rubber mounts in the holes that are already in the core support. I weld a 1/2 inch dowel rod on each tank and weld a flat piece on each one to set on the mounts. Then, I weld two pieces of angle at the top of each tank that line up with the holes that are already in the upper part of the core support.
I stick early 90s dodge caravan rubber mounts through thee holes and draw them up with 1/4 inch bolts. When its done, the whole radiator is mounted in rubber and all it takes is two bolts up top and it comes right out..

I also have a champion and it seems to be a really nice radiator for the money. Says it cools 800 horsepower. It is very thick aluminum not like the cheapo be cool ones that are paper thin. The one I bought was a direct fit for my charger but you might have to get one for something else to make fit in your car. My car runs 160* in the heat and can idle all day long.

Moparacer, that is a great job.
I was also loking at doing the lower mounts the same way as you.
I wasnt sure though if it was ok to weld the aluminum dowels to the tanks like that. Guess it's not a concern. Thanks for sharing.

Is yours a 3 core or 4 core? What do you run fan-wise?

Definately the best way to go as the aluminum radiators expand and contract more then the copper brass ones did and they need some room to move.

Also helps in the vibration department.
