Car got stupid! (Out of shape or wouldn’t run the number)
Dumped the laundry ( opened parachute)
Couldn’t find the brake pedal (broke out)
Triple donuts ( .000 reaction time)
Needs some Bracket racing 101! ( broke out by way too much)
60 ft. clock = Honda finish line. ( They’re usually finished by 60 ft.)

I haven't heard:

"blew their doors off"

And good old Steve Evans saying "he just drove around him on the big end"

reeled him in
we were door to door
we were bumper to bumper
I Got the hole-shot
he Belly Flopped (wheel stand that ends in smashed oil pan)
the Big Tire Boogy (waggling down the track on big tires)
Ridin' the Sticks (pulling the fronts off the pavement and riding down the track on the wheelie bars)
Sissy Sticks (wheelie Bars)
Skating down the track (all over the track from lack of traction. IE: usually small tire racing)
Blew the tires out on the launch (lost all traction and just spun on the launch)
Out the BackSide (coming across the finish line)
Lighting the Fires and Burning the Tires

Being around Imports and Street racing there's quite a few more I could add. But we'll leave those alone.

"Layed down a good run" - Good et, first to finish line.
"Cut the tree" - Great 60ft time, great reaction time.
"Smoked the tires" - Tire spin while leaving the line.
"Bulls-Eye" - Double 00 reaction time.
"Lifted" - Off the throttle before finish line/traps area.
"Top End charge" - Strong acceleration in upper RPM range in high gear, driving towards finish line.
"Big end" - Finish line/timer area.
"Fell off the Trailer" - Made a good et./60ft times on 1st pass (with a towed race vehicle).
"Put on the Trailer" - Lost race(s) or rounds, (usually for towed race vehicles).
"Traps" - timers before finish line (MPH/et)
"Sneakers" - Slicks.
"Holeshot" - Leaving starting line first, due BETTER reaction time but have slower et.
"Shutdown" - To slow vehicle down after finish line by idling/shutting motor off in neutral and braking.
OR - Defeating or losing to current champ of street racing and/or class racing at the strip.
"Red Light Bandit" - nickname dubbed to one of the most famous Pro Stock legends, Mr. Bill Bagshaw. He has been known for his lightning-quick
reaction times off the start. Upset a lot of racers with his "holeshots" and "tree-cutting"!!

I always like Mike Dunn's statement about really low (0.00X) reaction times..."He just did a lousy job of red-lighting".

Other than the first couple, kind of our own lingo

Tatooed = Holeshot
In the marbles = got loose
Hello? McFly? = Slept at the light
Hemi Time = Reeled 'em in on the big end
pulled a Scotty (as in Richardson = spent more time in the run looking at the guy behind me making sure I didn't break out)
Went all WJ = either threw a tantrum or whined about losing (that one's copyrited )
