Where did you mount your line lock? I still have inner fenders and I will be routing a few of my header tubes into the wheel well so I have to take into account when mounting the line lock. Pics would be nice too. Thanks!

Here's mine. Bad camera angle. I'll download the pic with hard lines and master cylinder installed tomorrow. Hole in inner fender is for header tube (Hooker super comp). Car is 64 Belvedere.

I made a bracket that mounts to the lower outside (closest to apron) bolt for the MC reinforcement and mounted my LL to that. Location is about the same as Bill's. Grounded to that bolt, hot wire has a disconnect.

no pic but when i was racing my 'cuda i mounted the line lock down the back by the diff. where the hardline stopped i fitted the linelock between there & the flexible line to the junction point on the diff. from there i ran the active wire under the rear seat, then under the carpet to in behind the consol then up to the button on my shifter. the average joe wouldn't even know i had one.

You could be member of the Blueman group Bill...even your brake lines

On topic though, I have it mounted on the firewall right under the steering colomn. One line into the linelock and from there a T and up to the both front wheels. That's how I did it. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! I was thinking of mounting mine on the fire wall, behind the left front tire. Do you think it's good idea to put it in the wheel well?

So long as you don't plan on going off roading I don't see it being a problem

Winter is coming and I'm sure a powder coater would accommodate you.

I have mounted them on the tire side of the left front wheel well to hide it, I have also mounted them on the inside of the engine compartment for ease of installation(later when I got older and lazy )Mount it where you want it and Make sure and use STEEL brake lines and double flare them

No worries on the materials, I have a bunch of lengths of stainless line going on it, being a tech for 15 years has me well aware of the use of double flares. lol.

Must be an Hourly Tech

A Flat Rate tech would have had that car done by now

I need to work to pay for the rest of my parts and my growing family. I'm hoping to have it running next year. At least with my job that i started 6 weeks ago I have effectively doubled my income.
