How does one determine the pound rating needed for front coil over shock springs ? Small block E body , fiberglass fenders and hood .

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

You need to know the front end weight PLUS the length
that the shock should be at for the design length...
(we will say it has a compressed point of 2") so you
have 1800 lbs (front end weight) divided by 2 = 900
divided by 2 (compressed/design length) = 450......
or just call the shock/spring people with your front
end weight
