I went and looked at a dart tonight that I used to watch race as a kid. There wasnt much left of the old girl. She had sitten outside under a tree for quit a few years. The car has had the inner front fenders on the front and rear of the shock tower removed, frame tied, obsolete cage, both quarters shot. Mini tubbed, vinyl roof car and the top needs a lot of work. It is a 69 383 car, no motor no trans, has 8 3/4 and old centerlines on the rear. It is just a shell of rust. I thought it would be cool to get it and put it back on the track, but all I seen was a money pit.

Would you try and save one that has gone that far for a drag car? I understand if it was an original hemi dart, but this isnt.

If the roof was ok and you do your own work..... and
got it dirt cheap... then it might work... but if your
paying to have the work done............... nope

Same car now. It really depends on how much work you can do yourself. I paid nothing for the car, and bought everything at a smoking deal.

What Mike said! Luckily there are plenty of replacement panels available!

No...
A-Bodies are so cheap, if you started with a complete mostly rust free body, you would be thousands ahead..
