Made it to the local 18th mile track for one last race yesterday. Not much to report other then the car works the driver doesn't. First pass of the day, the car ran a 6.412 at 107mph with a 1.40 60'. Right where it was last time out. Second pass ran a 6.419 at 107mph w/1.42 60'. Car felt like it spun some but ran the number. RT was a .009. Third time trial ran 6.43 at 107, RT .005 . So we get called up to first round. i still had a 6.41 dial in on the car from the last time out, and left it. My buddy came over and said it warmed up some and he was dialing up .01. Told him I'd leave mine. Never even looked to see what the other guys dial in was. Just wanted to cut a light and NOT go red for a change. Lights came down, and i let out the clutch. Car felt good and as I passed the tree I could see it was green. Caught the guy at about 600 feet, and had him by half a car, so i thought I would lift at the stripe... NOT enough. Ran a 6.39. WHERE did that come from??? Well that is it. Done for the year. Didn't break any personal bests, but then again, I never did a single thing to the car, other then change the oil, plugs and head gaskets, since it was out 3 years ago.

That came from desire or trying harder, maybe the tune up likes heat more than cold Congatulations on having a good time and taking the car home unhurt 4 speeds are tough to race, especially in brackets

Glad you had fun Jeff! Still one of the cars here that turned a 4-speed into a 'must have' on my to do list, although it seems like a long time ago I was aiming for those 1/8 times Yeah yeah I know... it's all in the weight which makes me run 5.719at121.2mph lately
Good job my friend
