68427vette OP top fuel 6 Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 1,992 midwest	how many days months is the norm, motor date/ verses body date on fender tag. motor cast #253643010 22069 and the FT is 425 = April 25, 1969? 2 month window?? car is a 1969 Coronet RT WS23L9G i just bought. when was the 1970 models released? August? So, this car is a late 69 car? car is a B5 B5 with P6C B7 interior,, B5 BLUE with Blue White interior! thanks jc

70gtx440dana master Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 3,519 Lansing, MI	I would not place too much importance on the cast date. You need to look on the top pad at the assembly date. This is usually within a couple weeks of the SPD. However, there are exceptions. FYI - The cast date can sometimes be several months to a year earlier than the assembly date on some engines. Sometimes it is just days before the assembly date. In other words the cast dates can be all over the place. 70 Road Runner 383-4 4 speed FJ5 & black guts 70 Charger R/T 440-4 4 speed FJ5 & white guts
