Oh
I have 2 pumps and the motor went bad on the one on my car.
My housing is modified and I want to just change the motor part from 1 pump to the other. I have tried to cut the gasket, tap a putty knife in between, tap on it with a plastic hammer and it won't move or break loose.
I don't want to damage the housing taking it apart so what does anyone do to get them apart??
I assume these are replaceable pumps, correct??
Mine keeps blowing fuses so I believe the pump is tying up or something like that. The wiring is all GOOD with no shorts.
Who do you go thru to get a replacement pump??? or do you send it back to meziere???
Please Help as I need to get this done asap.
Thanks David

if you have the six(6) bolts removed just take a really big hammer and hit the old "broken" motor with the handle to put the weight of the hammer on a small area of impact and they should pop loose the web site should have the replacment motor install istrutions for you so you know which bolts to remove

AND i got my pump motor for them direct because every one did not stock the 55 gpm pump motor

Oh
I only seen the 4 allen head bolts that hold it on.
Am I missing 2 somewhere??
There are 4 holding the motor on and 4 that hold the motor housing on, 2 at each end.
I will look on their site and see if I can find anything.
Anyone else??
Thanks David

Dave as said in couple of post earlier make sure you take the bolts out of the motor. You can buy a replacement motor at Jegs. They have them in stock. I have had to replace 2 on our cars this year. The motor you will get from them will be 35 gpm. You can call Meziere direct and get a heavy duty motor 42 gpm and 1/2" bigger that is a direct bolt in. I was told the 55 gpm motor will not fit in the housing without mods.

Jack

Jack...How much is the motor from Jegs? I have a Meziere pump here with a bad motor. Meziere wants 125.00 to rebuild it.

The end is near.....

Mine(SB) has a allen head on the end of the armature....
turn it to see if you can free it up... I had to add
a lube to the water to keep it free... its still running
fine now

Oh
THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE INFO. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.
I will check into how freely the motor turns, and then getting it apart, then seeing who has one if I still need one.
I wouldn't have thought 2 of the motor bolts also held it to the housing. I believe it would be the bolts at 12 and 6 position as I think there are recesses in the backside at the 3 and 9 positions.

AGAIN THANKS GUYS.
and Big Dod If all else fails I will do as you say and get the BFH out after it. Ha ha
Thanks David

Oh
I got home this am and decided to mess with the old pump.
I had to take out all 8 allen bolts and it pulled apart.
The ones that go thru the motor also hold the motor/housing together.

I spun the motor with the allen wrench and it spins easier then my other one so I am not sure it's seizing up. I will swap motors and see what happens.
Thanks for the info and I figured I would update this incase someone else has to do theirs.
Have A Good Day Guys,
David
