The one I drive... 6" Glasstek, and ours is functional. We put a plate on the carb to close it off some and funnel more air into the carb, and it went from 10.42 to 10.21!

I like BigCube's car for sure, Mistress too, and a handful of others, mostly A bodies, but to be honest it's not that I don't like the look of cowl hoods on MoPars, I don't really like the look of cowl hoods on Chevys either..

I think many of the MoPar scoops look wayyy better on a lot of MoPars, from the dual snorkle A body scoops to six pack scoops, Hemi scoops, RO/WO scoops, etc etc.

To each his own!

Man I want one...
I just mock'd up my engine, and the Aero Scoop and hood will not work.
Just looked on GlassTek's web site and they dont have any Cowl hoods listed..
Most of these dont look like they just add'd a Cowl scoop. Looks like a one piece deal.

Mine is from VFN. You just tell them which scoop & hood you want and they do all the work. Then they ship you the finished piece. Mine is as nice as they get, plus it fit perfectly right out of the box.

Glasstek will not "list" a complete cowl hood for a Mopar. They start with a flat hood and put a cowl on it. Look under the scoops tab then the cowl tab, several to choose from. Call them and discuss what you want. I have ran their cowl hoods, bumpers, deck lids & doors thru the years, good quality and usually quick delivery.

Love A bodies with cowl hoods, to the wind shield to be exact..

Not to high jack, but it was stated earlier they made the cowl functional.. How is that done??

Anyone know what kind of scoop Josh King has on his duster? maybe he'll chime in here

Im really getting the itch to do a cowl on my scamp, but I want one that is atleast 4" and goes back past the cowl panel or to the window and then i just trim it to how i want it so my wipers can still work

I think im going to call glasstek and VFN and see how much they charge for a complete bolt on hood

Do u think there would be room when the hood is up to clear the windsheild with a cowl hood past the cowl panel? :shruggy

:shruggy

Glasstek will make them either way. The bolt on you can't extend back because it will hit the window when you hinge it up. I had to trim the end of the cowl to clear my window. Lift off can be made to go all the back....

It really doesn't look that that "squared" off off near the window in real life, I think it's the angle of the shot..

I needed it that way to cover up where the vent grate was and to make room for an air cleaner

hey guys, i didnt even think of that oops

well if i do go cowl then it will definitely have to be a lift off style...im just not a fan of the ones that stop at the cowl panel as from the side i find the huge gap to look kinda goofy

Not mine. Saw it at ATCO when I was racing there.

Looks like an upside down john boat on his hood.
