I know that if you relocate your battery from the engine bay, you're supposed to add a kill switch to be legal.

but, with all the newer cars coming with factory trunk mounted batteries, are the tracks being strict on this rule? do they make those guys install a kill switch?

what makes a factory trunk located battery "safer" than a relocated battery?

The rule for a Kill Switch is it's need if the battery is relocated.

I would assume then that a factory trunk mounted battery would not have to have a master kill switch.

Is it safer? I doubt there is any difference other than the odds of a car like that going much faster than it does on the highway are slim.
