68LAR OP master Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 4,006 South Park, Pa.	My new rebuild cranks slow when warmed up. The "old" engine did the same, but not as bad as this one. Yes, I know it is new and will probably loosen up a bit after some more run time. It only has about one hour on it now. Just looking for a reasonably priced HI Torq starter. I should have done this years ago, but what I had worked at that time, now, not so good.. I think I can "overkill" on this one if this price is right. 4 speed street legal. Best time 10.99 @ 124 mph on 93 octane pump gas @ 3926# total weight

I have used these on motors ranging from 350HP to 1000HP. Also up to 15:1 compression ratio. U will need to clearance starter a little to avoid contact with block, but I think they are a better unit than any aftermerket high dollar piece. #9 in the world. 2006 IHRA Super Rod 2010 IHRA Div.5 Hot Rod Champion

dcr member D Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 117 Muskegon Mi	I went to a junk yard and got one off a 96 truck just for fit up purposes and to get a application I knew would work and it worked so well its still there only cost 20.00 found that post hit block at freeze plug shortened post to clear works great some of them have a adapter block on them just need to remove it and hook directly to post.Mine had a plug for energize wire soldered that on to my feed wire.

440Jim I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 16,923 NC	I have been running the MOPAR (Denso) mini starter from production vehicles for years in my race car. It works great. Are your headers near starter? Your installation might be heat soaking your starter. A sheet metal heat shield might help your situation.
