Remi..are the deals from Indy directly? I've heard of WAY TOO MANY horror stories dealing with them! I believe Dwayne's a distributor for them, though. I'll see what he says!....Chad,I'm sure opening up the ports will take some velocity away..i.e TORQUE! But..maybe the milling will help to offset some of the torque loss. I'll have to discuss this with Dwayne,as well! All I know is if getting the heads ported, and raising the compression to what HE thinks will handle pump premium...results in CONSISTENT 10.9-11.0's....I'll be VERY HAPPY!

Hey I didn't say it wouldn't be a trade off that wouldn't be worth it. The gains up top will more than make up for the small torque loss at the bottom. And depending on the converter it may not be noticed at all.

Do the stage 2 porting and I promise you will notice a huge power gain. Once that not just the timeslip will notice but the seat of your pants is gonna feel a HUGE gain too.

Thanks,Chad! I'm curious as to how high I can go with the compression..and still run pump gas. My 262/266 @ .050 duration might let me get away with a little more than 11:1. I'm sure I'll get the answer when I talk to Dwayne..and Jeff!

What is your current cranking cylinder pressure?
What is the advertised duration, and what ICL?

Russ..cyl. pressures averaged 182,when I checked them last(April)The only duration specs I see on the Comp card are the 262/266 @ .050 numbers. When we degreed the cam,it was 105 ICL...where we left it! The intake opens at 26* BTDC and closes at 54* ABDC,if that helps! Hope everything is going good with you! Randy

Hmmmm. Cylinder pressure is higher than I would have thought for a 10:1 CR and a cam that large. Do you know your deck height, valve notch volume, gassket thickness and head volume? Is it a zero deck 6-pack piston...I don't remember.

We're doing good. I'll be back up in Mich. pulling the dock next weekend. Seems like I just put it in.

Russ..my deck heights avg. 10.715"..gasket thickness compressed is .039..the pistons are Diamond flat tops, and the chamber volume is 84cc. Have an idea on the MAX comp. ratio?

Randy the cam has a BIG play with what the real(dynamic)
compression is... when the intake closes

Mike..the intake opens at 26* BTDC..and closes at 54* ABDC. What does this tell you? What's your guess on the max ratio for my combo..on pump premium? THANKS!

After punching in the numbers on the Wallace calculator..the DYNAMIC compression comes out to 8.74. I was told the max was right around 9.2! Anybody know how much would have to be milled to achieve this on Eddy Performers?
