I'm thinking a clutch just might be your best bet.

It may come to that but that brings new problems that I know nothing at all about,
on the other hand, the SS/modified guys get it to work so I know it can be done, one problem for me is that our season is from may to mid september and if I ship a converter to the US for adjustment its minimum 3 weeks , probably 5 weeks and 300$ in shipping

Ken, I hear Coan and A1 are the best on 7" converters. Problem is they are gonna want to see dyno numbers for your engine. Or if it does not work it will be your fault. You know the blame game. I really wanted to try a Coan. They are more reasonably priced. A1 insisted I go to a proflite tranny. Just didn't have the money. Exhausted my budget on coverters and gears. I was told by Bullit cams my cam was probably too big unless I turned the engine 10K. I caved in and ran an index.

I ll try to get time to go to the dyno over the winter.

I know from experience that 10000 is a lot harder on parts than 9000, I don t want to go that way
