I have a set of Isky BB rockers that I had RAS bush for me. Now that they are on the motor, (which is on the stand) I have a couple of them that are not oiling? It's the same for both banks. The ones that are not oiling to the pushrod cup, are the ones that have the valve open. Another thing that I have noticed, is that the rockers are drilled ie through the bushing to allow oil to the valve stem. Everything was taken apart, double cleaned, and I used clevite assembly lube on the shafts. I have their hold downs and ARP studs. I torqued the shafts at 25lbs, when I prime by hand, I notice a fair amount of oil coming past the washer / nut. Is this considered normal, or once the motor is running becomes a moot point considering all the oil pressure? As far as threads showing on the adjusters, it's 2. For the most part I have at the minimum .015 to .025 side clearance (depending on pairs of rockers). Thanks for any insight.

are you rotating the crank while priming?

Pull all of the spark plugs and rotate the motor over while priming it, see if that takes care of it Is the asembly lube inside the rocker oilng passages possibly blocking them

Yes I am rotating the motor over by hand, minus the spark plugs, after recovering from shoulder surgery, it was a long tedous process. I havent hooked up a drill to prime it yet, just using a speed wrench. Is the fact there is oil coming up through the studs and then down the hold downs, not really a factor then? I like everyone else has a fair amount of money in this project, just want to do it once if at all possible. But then I have the luck of the Polish at times. I appreciate the insights here.

I would see about borrowing a 1/2 inch or bigger cord type drill and use that to prime the motor while turning it over, that should make a heck of a difference on the volume and pressure in your motor Did you modify the motor to oil the rockers full time, probally not If you didn't then the rockers only get oil every other crankshaft revolution and then for no more than 15 to 20 degrees of crankshaft revolutions, if that many try the drill first
