Anyone ever try to use a pair of A body BB fenderwell headers in a 1978 BB Aspen. If you have done this what is the trick? Thanks

For those who care yes they do fit with alittle cutting of the inner fenderwell. We used a set of 1 7/8s Hooker A-Body fenderwell headers.

Never tried that one before. With all the open space we have always used standard B-body headers. Usually onl have to modify 1 tube near the colum. Seems like a lot of hassle to try and put in the fenderwell headers for sure. Best of luck if you cont. to do this. See ya, Ken

Really not bad.Gone a few rounds in the shoot outs and the car is deadly . The driver not so much. Just have not been racing much at all because of the crapy rain in the spring then the really hot weekends in July and now we are right in the start of the nutty season with the school work.
Bills Aspen was backfireing thru the headers and he found the center tube cracked.Well I have a good set of 2" A body fenderwell headers so we thought there was alot of room so he tried to fit them .
We need to get together and go do some racing somewhere.

TTI headers just about fall into place.

And if you are not careful when trying to install them, fall out to the ground.

Easiest header install I ever did. Fenderwells are just way too much work to install on a F-body.

TTI ground clearance is better than most small block headers. Also no problems with steering or tire clearance as with fenderwells.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen! Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

Good to Know My buddie did not want to buy new headers without knowing the fitment and my old headers were still good and free. We are talking about a drag car only so cutting up the inner fenderwells is easy. You are 100% right about the tire clearance.
