slippery440 OP Crybaby440 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,142 Central New York	Anyone ever try to use a pair of A body BB fenderwell headers in a 1978 BB Aspen. If you have done this what is the trick? Thanks For those who care yes they do fit with alittle cutting of the inner fenderwell. We used a set of 1 7/8s Hooker A-Body fenderwell headers. Last edited by slippery440; 09/11/11 05:04 PM.

Usually onl have to modify 1 tube near the colum. Seems like a lot of hassle to try and put in the fenderwell headers for sure. Best of luck if you cont. to do this. See ya, Ken

Just have not been racing much at all because of the crapy rain in the spring then the really hot weekends in July and now we are right in the start of the nutty season with the school work. Bills Aspen was backfireing thru the headers and he found the center tube cracked.Well I have a good set of 2" A body fenderwell headers so we thought there was alot of room so he tried to fit them . Easiest header install I ever did. Fenderwells are just way too much work to install on a F-body. TTI ground clearance is better than most small block headers. Also no problems with steering or tire clearance as with fenderwells. Last edited by racealittle; 09/11/11 05:41 PM. Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

We are talking about a drag car only so cutting up the inner fenderwells is easy. You are 100% right about the tire clearance. If the MODS did their job I would not be hitting the notify MOD button. LOL
