I just went through this last weekend. Im sure all cars are different but I couldnt get mine to hook up. Everyone on here said 17-20 lbs. It spun terrible with that much air and once they start spinning you might as well lift because they dont recover like a slick. I started talking to other people in staging with some really fast cars and they said 13-14 lbs. Dropped em down to 13.5 and they hooked awsome. My car ran the best 60' ever with a 275 60 e.t. street radial over a 28 14.50 q.t. pro. I would start at 14 and go from there.

Yeah ss springs right now. Hopefulley ladder before the ice drags.
I'm running 325-50-15 on a 10 inch rim MT et drag radial.
This will be the first time on asphalt with this engine. On ice in the 660 best was 7.049 And 109 mph hoping to drop below 10 but don't think it will happen with this setup.

I think your car will hook no prob with those tires. I ran a 275-60 which only has a 9" tread with junk 40 year old suspesion and ran 1.49 60' with a 10.63 e.t. @125 mph. I dont think you will have any probs hooking unless you are launching it at 6500.

I found the Hoosier DR hooks the best, The BFGs are #3 on the big 3 DR scale from feedback on them, they will hook, but if its a stick car it might be tricky. I can vouch that the Hoosier DRs hook "hard", even on crappy track prep in a stick car, With my MTs on my dart they were a bit finiky on the bottle on a so-so prep, I had my extention too tight & they would just skate untill i let off then got back into it, On the 3 sets of MTs i ran in 3 different cars the best pressure was 17 lbs. "cold", anything over 19 was a wash, but every car is different, I'd start with 18 cold & see how it does, & don't need a john force burnout for them to hook, just get them hot quick & pull to the line.
