what type of et gain can i expect from a cheater plate set-up with .055n/.045n jets?
88 dakota 3400# street/strip
pump gas 9.7:1 comp, 340 stroked to 418
herbert roller cam .580.600 lift
full ported/polished x heads
aed 850 carb
727 manual v-body
10" converter 4100rpm flash stall on motor
8 3/4 3.91 posi
new m/t drag radials in a 295-55-15
3 way drag shocks on middle setting
rear has cal-trac style set-up
truck ran a best last sat in the heat of [Email]7.37@94.1[/Email] with a 1.63 60ft.on motor.i drive it to the track 35-40 minutes one-way.any ideas on gains?my nos tune-up is as follows;
.055n/.045 f
plug gap at .030 autolite 65 plugs
timing set to 30* for nos on motor its 36-37*
i still have to set flowing fuel pressure i was told 5-5.5psi.fuel system for nos is dedicated blue pump, reg ,-6 braided line.thanks mike

with that tune up maybe 3 tenths with hitting it out of the hole.

prolly half a second in et..mabey 7/10ths at the most.
I run a .65 jet/pill and get right at a full second reduction in et..fwiw
.055 pill ...it is enough shot to feel it in your seat though thats for sure
i might go a hear range or 2 cooler on that spark plug....if tune is good..it might be fine.
but any more of a shot/pill id go colder on teh plug.

I dropped from 8.2s to 7.5s with issues on 47n-55f jets, MPH i gained 11, So i'll say easy 6.8s, should go 6.7s from 8.3s, i'll give it 6 tenths, I think a 63n jet would give you a solid 8 tenths.

I did this for a freind with a 100% street nova show quality car stock suspension. He was racing with drag radials.
Put a similar tuneup on it and picked up .9. He would not let me play with it to try and get a full second. He almost peed himself he was so tickled in how the car ran.
