Just wanted to share the results of my first Mopar big block build. Its a 400 10:1 compression,915 heads with pocket porting and steel crank. Been working on this car off and on since 06. It came to us from NC w/ 225 slant 6 and 904 auto.
I fired the new motor up for the first time on the 17th of August.
Oh yea this is our date night car...99.99% street car.

The reason that the engine bay looks so clean is because once I put the motor in and got it running I didnt want to take it out for paint. So right now the rest of the car is sanded down for the body work. The interior is all sheetmetal right now.
I was just so excited that it fires and runs so smooth. I have built a number of the bow tie power plants but this was my first Might M motor. But I cant take all the credit because if it werent for Dave @ Dave's Performance Engineering in Fresno and his machine work I couldnt have built it like I did.
Just some info on my car. Its a 68 Dart sedan, 12 point cage, narrowed Dana 60 stuff'd full of Moser 35 spline axles, spool, Richmond gears. Home built long tube headers by me and everything else that was put in this car was built in my garage. Oh yea its a 4 speed car with a V Gate shifter. And even my version of the x large Hemi scoop..
Car looks and was built to handle hp and go down the track but it was built to take my wife and best friend on date nights.
Will post pictures soon..
