im sorry if i posted this in the wrong area but ive just changed the steeering box on my 73 barracuda and when i drove it, it had just as much play in it as it did before, how do i make sure the splines on the shaft lined up correctly?

There's a master spline on the box that gets clocked at the 12 o:clock position...Steering wheel/shaft goes on accordingly...Anyhow...If you've still got slop with a new box two things come to mind... Either there's worn steering/suspension components or the steering coupler needs rebuilt...
