There is something also known as original metal. It's a little easier to get here than there.

As for AMD, I really should not comment, my impression is that it is better than what was previously available. The only stuff I ever bought was goodmark and I placed it in the trash after I saw how poor it was to the original part.

I'm working with a good mark full quarter right now, and I gotta say...I'm happy with it. in fact i have it just "hanging" on the car right now testing my outer wheel well patches to make sure they are lined up and not going to mess with the quarter at all...and it looks so good sitting there, it's REALLY tempting to just weld it on, without finishing all the patching I need to do under it.

so...if this is "junk" then what does original metal do? install itself?

Original metal, installs itself and cleans the shop after it's done.

My experience was with dutchman panel and the trunk opening piece. The dutchman panel was way off - as in too big. Luckily I have an NOS one to compare it to and the Goodmark piece fit over the NOS one. This was for a 71 Challenger R/T

honestly, my only experience so far with ANY replacement metal -- aftermarket, NOS, original, etc. is the goodmark half piece trunk floors, which I did a complete amature hack job installing. sure, part of it might have been the panels were "off" but 99% of it was the installer.

I've learned a thing or 2 since then, and this quarter panel is going MUCH better so far. --however, I still have the floor/quarter extensions to put in yet though, and I can tell that those are not quite right...not terrible either though. work-able.
