I use distilled water 50/50 with extended life Prestone anti-freeze. 5+ years and no signs of corrosion or cooling performance loss with one coolant change.

Everything except the race car gets distilled water & anti-freeze, 50/50, plus a bottle of Water Wetter. Race car omits the anti-freeze. The cars with aluminum heads and/or radiator also have a zinc anode in them.

I'll guess 3-4 gallons. Two gallons each of anti freeze and water should cover it. Anodes I've seen screw into the lower radiator tank in place of the drain petcock. Don't know where to get them... I'd try Summit.

distilled (not demineralized) water/good green antifreeze (iirc the GO-5 even better)/zinc anode/several drops of liquid dish soap (cheap water wetter, reduces surface tension for better heat transfer). 2 gal of AF will b enough (50/50 protects to -35 F below zero). Ply72rr thanks for the anode link as I need to get one

Well with that kind of an engine ($$$$) I'd be SURE to run antifreeze. Stranger things can happen and you leave the car at the side of the road and it freezes overnight. You are incapacitated and your help is out of town. You can probably imagine 30 different ways to have it happen.

In my long-term storage is a ford model B engine that froze in August. They had just gotten it back from the machine shop, put it back in the B pickup, were intending to start it (water in the radiator) when Ma called them in for supper. It got late and they didn't think to drain the block. That engine never ran, still has the brand-new oversize pistons in it.

"A word, to the wise, is sufficient."

it will have a gal. of anti freeze in it but no reason to as said before it has its own heated garage under the house it does not go out side unless it is really nice no chance of rain
in 10 years the car has seen rain one time(in front of the garage)
its angies pride and joy and she pampers the heck out of it lol

just got back from buying some red line water wetter to add to it

The anti-freeze also carries the corrosion protection additives designed for a 50/50 mix. With a big investment in the engine and big expensive aluminum parts I'd give it as much corrosion protection as possible.

run a 1:1 mix of a high quality anti-freeze and distilled or de-mineralized water. Do not run straight water as it will corrode the hell out of anything metal in the engine.
