why does CF require a no box car to race a box car in a final ?????????????

i enter no box--i beat all of them--so i face the other remaining no box car in the FINAL.

Yes...I hear what you are saying..It ain't cheap! Last week it was the night of fire,this weekend is points. Next weekend is the NHRA National Open and I think points again the following weekend. As close as I am to the track it still costs roughly 250.00 in fuel,gas for the truck,and getting my wife and grandson in. I don't think I will make the open event. I have also said many times that Pro and Super Pro should have thier own entrys and purses..I just wish I was closer to Tri-State..

car still wont hook , and dropped off 6mph by rnd 1. so i have an issue somewhere...


had a .022 rt in round 1 to opponents .152 --the car felt lazy and had a slight hesitation downtrack

that right there plus the heat pissed me off and i threw in the towel.

I hear what you are saying,Kevin. It is just too darned hot to race. I missed points races this weekend. Looking on the bright side,I saved 300.00! Ended up going for a short ride on my Harley,I kinda enjoyed that! I also think that I am parking the car. This has also been my worst year ever!! Good luck and stay in touch!

Hi,Billy!! Is Dan bringing the Gold Coast Hemi down? I wouldn't mind coming down to say Hi to everyone! My 64 is still on jackstands in the garage..I might be finished for the year. It is to the point where it just isn't fun anymore..

Ted, just throw a cover over it and do something else until it cools off. It has been a brutally hot summer, my junk has been on the jackstands for the past two months. Lots of good races coming up in Sept.

Ted, did you go to Tri State last weekend? If so how did it go?

You gotta stop running points and only go to the track to have fun. Never have ran points, and know others that have, and burned them out, and now rarely race any more.

Jeff..You are 100% right!! With a new car setup I was nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs!! To top that off the track manager tells me the only thing that scares him worse than me going down the track is the outlaw 10.5 cars..So that gets in my head. Then the first couple of points races I was told that the manager was having the starter pull the 8 and 9 second cars against me for first round...Then that gets me mental. If I prove that is true,I will never stage my car at that track again! All I ever wanted to do is make a good showing and try to make it to the Div. 5 bracket team for CFR...

CFR was not that busy[suprised] but we are always thanked individually in the lanes for coming. Was hotter than anticipated but not like last year. I took the converter out and Rick had ignition probs. WE STILL HAD BIG FUN! Sorry we missed you Ted.

How far is Eddyville from you?

Billy...Yeah...I would have liked to see you guys again!! Did Dan bring the Cuda down? Jeff...Eddyville is about 3 hrs and 45 min. south of here..Used to play in my band down that way..Heard nothing but good things about that track,It is 493 Darts home track...Would love to give him a good azz whippin in front of the home crowd!!

Did not realize it was that far away. Well Earlville is a nice track to run at. I like both CFR and TriState, but if I had my choice, I'd run TriState. Too bad it's a long drive.

If that is true about the manager, I wouldn't go there either. RockFalls is about 130 miles from my place, but I will NEVER give another dime of my money to Al Corda.

I like Tri-State...Bill Cassil is the manager and treats a guy OK!! That is 86 miles vs. 37 miles..But they run Pro seperate and S/P in thier own class...No BS having them in Pro...

If TriState was only 86 miles away, I would be there every chance I got. Grove Creek is 50 miles from here, and Brainerd is 95 miles. I really like Brainerd, but it moves sloow.
