I'm prepping my Cuda for a new windshield and need some info on the number and location of windshield moulding clips.

The upper channel looks to be in perfect shape and has holes for six clips so I think I'm ok there.

On the passenger side pillar I have holes for 2 clips but there is also a section where it appears there was some previous body work done so I may be missing a clip location or two here.

Drivers side pillar has no holes but that pillar appears to have had a bunch of previous work on it.

My assumption it that I should have about 12 clip locations total (6 across top and 3 on each side pillar). Does this sound right or am I missing something?

Does anybody have measurements on the locations for the side pillar clip locations?

Thanks

I'm going to check my car soon for the same thing. Just making sure none of mine were filled before going to paint.

the correct answer is 12 clips.
As far as the right location to where they go, I cannot answer that, as I never have had to do one.... Nick

Got a few pictures for you...Like Nick said, 3 on each side and 6 across the top. Sorry the pics are not the best.

FWIW, I bought these on ebay. While they were not an exact copy of the original ones they were advertised for a 70 ebody and when I compared them with the originals they looked like they would work. I'll let you know as I plan on installing the glass in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks. I in deed, found them on Ebay also. I ordered the ones for 71-74 (clips on a stud) Most of my studs are intact and figured I could use small sheet metal screws for the missing ones...

I believe that the top corners should have screw holes where the factory filler was on the A-pillar seams (I think on the 70 models all clips were screw on) here are 3 types of clips the gold one is harder to install, black one is easier the other is an original screw on type This link will show the screw hole link

If you do want to use sheet metal screws, drill and install them before the glass is installed.
Another source of clips is AuVeCo. Much cheaper than Ebay and lots of local distributors.

If I recall correctly, they are a member here on moparts, and restore cars at the OE level. I've heard great things and seen some cool pictures, but haven't done any business with them personally.

Yes I was recommended there by a board member and I have dealt with them (Tom Hergert). Also met at Vegas. Great guy, he went the extra mile and I would not hesitate to deal with them again
