I bought a set of these caps at the Nats, and was wondering if anyone knows what the right colors are to repaint them. It kinda looks like they used light argent, dark argent and black, but everything is kinda faded. It also looks like its textured. Any have any good picts they could share?

Also, a couple of the lug nuts are pitted pretty bad. Do these come off? I separated the front pot metal piece from the trim ring, but it looks like its part of the casting. But, it also kinda looks like it could have been pressed on and then plated over. I hate to break it...

I have a N.O.S. pair of those, It appears that the silver part could be a textured argent, The dark silver does not have any texture, and the black is a flat black. Hope this helps.

I just looked a little more closely. It looks like the silver has the texture cast into the surface. I guess regular non-textured grille silver (Totally Auto?) would work then. Chally426, does your flat black area look textured or is it smooth? Mine looks like its textured, but the paint is pretty faded and falling off.

Thanks

Cool, thanks Chally. Anyone know if there is a way to remove the lug nuts without breaking them???
