I located an aluminum trans that looks like an 833 new process 4 speed. It has a short tail housing that appears to be an A body trans. The numbers on the trans are 013364A, 8F139116, PP8335885 and 013303G. Is this a 4 speed or a 3 speed overdrive trans? I have not been able to find any info that will tell me on the computer or in manuals. Can anyone help or link me to where I can determine what the trans is?

All I can tell you is

P8335885

P833 = New process Division A833 Trans
5885 = 9 Sep 77 (trans build date)

8F139116 = last 8 of VIN
8 = 1978 model year
F = plant = Newark, DE
139116 = last six of the VIN

I think that late of a trans would be an O.D. trans but I could be wromg. Sorry

Maybe someone else will chime in.

A factory service manual will tell you how to break down the VIN for that model(s), and the 10,000 day Mopar calendar (the 5885 in the P8335885) can be determined using the decoder at www.lightningjar.com
