I am shopping for a gas tank, are Quanta and Spectra the same parts? Or if they are different manufacturers, is one better than the other?

I need one too. Here's a BTT

After I posted, I was talking to Fine Lines and the guy there said they are one in the same. I also talked to Vans as they seemed to have the best price on gas tanks, but they said their's were made in Taiwan. I'll stick with the Canadian Quanta/Spectra!

dont know the diference but i have looked at a few spectre tanks and they looked ok to me,the look and feel was similar to any stock factory part and i wouldnt be surprised if the same factory makes OE stuff.

Here's my new Spectra tank for my 72 Charger, made in Canada, purchased in the States and shipped to me in Canada, lol. Very solid and looks exact.

Be careful around the edges, they are very sharp.

Vans' tanks come powdercoated, Spectra are natural finish and a much nicer tank
