yes.
It is driven off the timing belt so you have to pull it off and you might as well replace it while your in there. Even to get it off without replaceing the belt you need to pull the crank damper, you need a 3 jaw puller. You have to pull the damper to pull the cover to get at the stuff in there. All data calls for 3.8 hours, the first time I did one it took me twice that long, now after doing a few I think I can get that time.
I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

Yes, There's very a little room between the engine and fender. I can see this being a busted knuckle swear fest.
Do I need a manual to do the timing procedure? or are there clear marks on the sprockets and block where everything should line up?

Whenever I have a good running engine I am about to do a t-belt on I always mark the belt and pullys where they are, then I take them off and transfer the old belt marks onto the new belt, then install the new belt and line up the marks on the new belt with the marks on the cam and it is done, fool proof if you are carefull.
