What kinds of flexible lines can be used as substitutes for the hard lines from a 727 automatic to the radiator cooler?

What size or kind of fittings will work?

How much pressure could be present in these lines?

Thanks
Roy

You'll get a lot of answers that border on "ghetto repairs", but other than steel tubing, the ONLY route I would take for flexible lines is braided steel with AN fittings.
My 2¢...

Go to the parts store and get some rubber transmission line hose and some hose clamps, has worked for me for the last 10yrs.

......I would second that statement, except to specify that the braided stainless hose are just that, ALL stainless construction, hose as well as sheath, no rubber hoses with braided SS sheath...

If you have access to McMaster Carr, you could order your flexible ALL stainless hoses, made to size, and end specfications

since price per foot of flexible steel lines is pretty up there.
I would consider getting a good bender (around 70 bucks) and some steel line or aluminum from the parts store(10 bucks a line) and bend my own.
I think you will find at the price per foot, you will still save money.

I bent my own using Cunifer tubing. It is a copper/nickel alloy tubing approved for brake line use by the DOT. It is MUCH easier to bend than standard steel brake or cooler lines. Here is a link to the vender. Read for yourself.

... GHETTO .....

THEN on the other end of the scale .... braided steel with AN's ...

MUST be nice if you have a boat-load of cash BURIED in the back yard ...

I have used NUMEROUS times ... some 3/8 alum tubing with some high quality braided black rubber hose.

I've used copper a bunch of times and never had a problem, though the on the last 2 cars I did use steel.

It's just so much harder to bend, and I scratched the hell out of the oil pan trying to get em in there after I bent them up. Next time I going to try that cunifer stuff.

use some steel line stock with 5/16" comp fittings, bend up new lines and keep the rubber flex down to 4-6 inches if you use any

use the flared ends and brass fittings at the tranz and rad tank, then piece together with the comp fittings for all steel lines

cheap.strong,looks good

Wanted to mine with braided, local race shop caries it all, it was $150.00 to do it that way, I think I'll bend mine too. Oh, by the way, it's 5/16 line.
