Do both of these UCA's perform the same geometry and bump steer correction in just different ways?

Just wondering why the Hotchkis UCA has a bracket added to one of the attachment points and the firm feel unit does not?

Would you be more likely to run a bushed UCA vs a UCA that has the rod end bearing?

No. the Firm Feel upper control arm only adds positive caster. The Hotchkis bracket changes the path of the upper control arm and subsequently the path of front axle in relation to the car as is moves up and down through its travel. The benefit is supposed to be reduced bumpsteer etc. The Hotchkis page goes into more detail.

Solid heim joints allow less deflection of the arm under load, but transmit more road noise/vibration. Rubber reduces transmitted road noise/vibration at the expense of increased deflection.

Ditto above.

What Hotchkis has done is taken a large percentage of anti-dive out of the control arm mount location. This produces less caster change during suspension movement which results in less tie end movement.
