After thinking about this for over a year, I finally settled on the FAST #170634 analog A/F kit. This kit comes with the gauge (bracket not included), harness, and a single O2 sensor.
I was looking for something simple and less expensive that I could mount and leave it alone for my street car. A couple of years ago when I put on the headers, I located the bungs for both sides and had them welded in. Now that I finally got around to buying the kit, the O2 sensor went right in with no interferences. I currently have it mounted on the drivers side and hopefully down the road I will buy a second one for the passenger side.
So far the install is going smooth. The location for the drivers side O2 sensor worked out so that I can route the harness straight up to the floor where the 727 linkage comes thru. There is a rubber boot there around the shaft which allowed me to run the harness thru and then I added silicone to seal it up tight from water or dirt. This landed the end of the harness/O2 sensor connector just inside of the car which is located under the center console. This allowed me to mount the processor under the center console where it is hidden from view. Then I rolled up the harness under the carpet and ran it forward towards the fire wall. Now I can mount my gauge and run all of the wire up and under the dash where everything is still hidden from view.
I still need to wire in the gauge but so far this kit is very simple to install. I should have the wiring buttoned up this weekend. If you are looking for a lesser optioned O2 sensor kit, check out the FAST #170634.
