I'll throw in my as to why I'd like to have Jamie's trans. I've got a 727 and a 3:55 rear now, if I go with the new 5 speed I get:
1. The pure joy of rowing my own gears
2. Cruising at 2400 rpm instead of an ear-grating 3500 rpm. And in CA all the cruises, car shows, etc. require freeway travel
3. A 2.64 first gear instead of a 2.45 for a better launch
4. One more gear to keep it in the sweet spot when me and the guy next to me are both in a hurry to get to the next stop light.
