Have an Eddy 750 Competition Series on a 383/auto driver car. Engine is mostly stock; nothing radical at all. Has a starting problem. Car simply wont start after sitting all night. I could crank starter all day and will not start. A shot of ether and it starts. Once it starts for first time all is well. Fuel system is in tank electric and works fine. 7 PSI to carb. Had this carb on 440 car for years and no problems at all. Choke is not hooked up and temp is about 60 degrees. Timing and spark good. Not too smart on these Eddy (AFB) type carbs. Your thoughts.
UPDATE:
Took the top off the carb today and replaced the accelerator pump. Additionally adjusted the floats (both were off by a lot; close to a half inch on level and drop). The old accelerator pump diaphragm was almost gone. This would explain the poor pump shot. Car fired right up and run good. I appreciate all the input. Car is fixed. Thanks
