I'm not saying yours aren't too big, but a few extra thousandths will pass a lot of oil. You can do quite a bit of damage with a brake cylinder hone pretty quickly.
that is exactly what happened. No diamond stamp. I'm calling: collectors/CJ motorparts/hylift johnson today to price some .008" lifters. Can I hone em out with a brake hone or does it need to go to the shop?
0.001" for 16 lifters is equal to a .25" dia hole/leak. The 0.001" oversize lifters might make enough of a difference.
