A buddy recently traded in his 2019 Ram 4X4 for a 2023 Bronco with the 6 cylinder ecoboost. Nice vehicle, but he jumped on it before doing his homework. The Bronco has a max towing capacity of 3,500 LBS, which is pretty close to the weight of his boat...maybe less.

I'm fortunate that a few years back I bought a accelerator pump tuning kit...

It has a lot of 50cc and 30cc gaskets in it...

When I bolted these on I couldn't get any fuel at the squirter and thought maybe the pump was bad...

Come to find out both 50cc pump gaskets were hard...

After pushing them they dripped fuel on the outside rather than through the squirter...

I just need to make sure I get everything ordered correctly rather than get 1/2 way through and then have to order something else...

Thx...

Nice bike.
had a 83 V65 sabre, still miss it, Done 70 000Km with it before selling it.
My .02$, you surely already know that...

Smart charger to keep battery full, low voltage battery is tough on old bike electronic.
don't cheap out on tire.
premium fuel only.no cow fuel.
Change oil frequently.
V65 need to see WOT and 8000rpm once in a while.

I've owned quite a few 1500s with stock 5.7s and various engine swaps and the 6.4 SRT8 engine swapped 2011 got the best MPG of them all.

Also people should not be surprised the 6 cylinder gets worse mpg, it was built because some stupid engineer convinced em they needed new technology to get past emmisions (Chevy and ford have no problem getting pushrod engines past emmisions). And on top of worse MPG it needs premium fuel vs the hemi being just fine with low grade.

the problem is you need a 4150 double pumper kit (with 50cc pump diaphram) like a 3-202qft but it will be missing the transfer tube o-rings those come with a 4160 kit. the 4160 kits come with a 30cc pump diaphram, you'll need a 50 cc.

Probably piston slap. It should bolt right in and run just fine but it would run better with a tune. The dealer I deal with says they can't sell warranty cores unless it is an aftermarket warranty... If you don't buy it let me know please, I buy all of em I can get.

I think they didn't have MDS and RPM was limited. They are the same heads, pistons, block... Put it in a normal 2500 or something and it will run just the same but no MDS.

Ive contemplated the possibilities and decided it is just best to buy a good used 6.4 block and used pistons before boring a 5.7 block unless you had a brand new block that didn't need bored but you would still need custom pistons that cost as much as a good used 6.4 block. The 6.4 blocks have gotten a lot cheaper lately.

Your first link is what I was looking at...

Times that by two and I was sick...

The second link says it covers the added 4150 style bowl and metering block too...

That may be just the ticket I'm looking for...

After the av-gas stained my intake blue I'm not wanting anymore !@#$% leaks...

Thx a bunch...

Not sure she could shove that 'pair' up any higher without causing bodily injury. Did they put the stripes on and then decide to align the doors after? Interior is a mess. Seat backs look like garbage. Rest of interior is not great. That is a lot of money for not a lot of car.

i agree.it will really hurt torque. A cam like a Comp 268h would be ideal,,,,,

Again, this is what a cam grinder spec'd for me when I gave all the details and intended usage...
I really don't think it will be too bad, but I guess I will find out.
I ran an 8.5:1 360 years ago with a 230 at .050" cam, 4 speed, 4.10's and 3400lbs and that setup ran 12.30's all day long
I know the gear and weight are less than ideal right now, but this would be the 2nd 8.5cr build I have done where now 2 different cam grinders have recommended cams with similar duration, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope it works out.

So in this case, would the 2500 stall or the 4000 stall be ideal? Cam company said 2500+ stall for converter giving them all the combo details. Maybe the lower stall would work better as to couple sooner?

For the most expensive thing possible, scroll down and click on "service parts":
https://www.holley.com/products/discontinued_product/parts/0-4224

Or save $200:
https://allcarbs.com/product/holley-660-center-squirter-rebuild-kit/

The generic AED kits have always worked great for me. Always extra parts included which I appreciate.
They may lack the seals for the fuel transfer tube but the rest should be included.

But that is somewhat artificial. The definition of flash is the highest rpm seen before the car moves. The car moves sooner/easier with the 4:10 than with the 3.73. That earlier movement might be more beneficial that then increase in flash rpm. Did the car improve in the 60’? Always trying to understand more about the converter smile

No, 60ft dropped a 10th. Slower by 2 10ths, Mph dropped 4 - 6 mph while rpm remained roughly the same through the traps. Slip increased from 10 to 17 %. I have since fitted another converter but no track time as yet.

Sounds like the converter definitely not happy. I know people who have tried increasing slip % at the top to try and increase torque multiplication down track, but no real results yet. 10% seems a bit high. I’m at 4-5 % at the stripe. Which car?

8" ATi converter, it was originally specified for a 750 ish HP 528motor. It worked ok with the 572/580 motor and and 4:10 rear, showed over 900hp on a good day at the track going off the numbers and the weight (4023lb). Stall was originally 5200 (4:10) and it would go to 6000+ with the 3.73 gear. Data showed around 9 - 10% slip (4:10) which I was OK with as the car worked ok. I guess the change in rear ratio pushed the converter too far grin
We have fitted an ATi converter (9 1/2") that was built for our 655ci motor with 1000+ hp and a 4:10 rear, hopefully that will improve things.

The carbs I have seem to work really well so far but are leaking at a few different areas...

I'd just as soon rebuild them with new kits but in researching it I'm not sure what I need to purchase...

These carbs have the metering blocks installed in the secondary's and the longer fuel feed tubes...

Anyone have any rebuild kit numbers I can use to get everything I need?

The choke horns have been removed so no carb numbers are there...

In searching Holley's website it seems the original part number was 0-4224 but I haven't been able to find any rebuild kits for this part number...

Thanks sir, when you use the car for a search it doesn't show any of these.

Well, you don't really specify the car other than "B body".

I looked up a 76 Charger, still a B body, 11" drums shown. 6 choices too.
