After watching this several times I still can't figure out how this ended so well. Thank God it happened early in the run and stopped so quickly.

The airraid hat is nice looking but I don’t think it’d fit. Those drop bases are smooth too but also go behind the carb too far. This setup dropped right on and only needs a little hemmer and dolly work just behind it- there is only 1/16” now

Cass-I had the company that made the first run of the Dana snubbers install a NOS rubber on one of their bases.They said they had to have die/tool made because of the same problem you are having.I'm not sure if they are still doing them.
